OBX

We had a great Labor Day weekend at the Outer Banks, specifically Kill Devil Hills. We met up with friends for two nights. We had great weather and Chase loved the beach. He's been asking to go back every day since we got home.

You could definitely tell a hurricane has been through. Lots of those stick things and the beach area was smaller than normal.

Chase and Korey got along so well. Whether playing in the sand or running in the waves.
They were so cute to watch.

We bought this for Jacob to hang out in. I think it worked out pretty well. He slept a lot which was nice. I guess the ocean noise was good background noise!

Brad trying his hand at skim boarding.

Devon and Brad going out to catch some waves on the boogie board.

Kyleigh wasn't so sure about the sand at first but she was warming up to it. She still didn't mind taking a break from the sand and hanging out with Jacob!

On Saturday night we went out for dinner. We thought the boys would be entertained by this.

With long days in the sun and no naps - the boys were ready for bed!! That meant Kristine and I dropped off everyone and went shopping!!!

On Sunday we went back to the beach for just an hour or so.

They also had a pool at the place we stayed at that we took advantage of.

We had a great time with the Kauflins and look forward to doing it again next year!

On Labor Day I talked to everyone about our family beach vacation next summer. We're thinking the last week of July. Are you in?

Next time I go to the beach I want to emulate Jacob. That nap tent looks like the only way to go.

I had to laugh at Dad's comment for it is SO true - he would love the nap tent. Maybe a good B-day gift or Christmas gift:) Great pictures showing an incredible two days with friends!
