Gameday!!

Even though we seem far removed from real football...we still get excited for gameday Saturdays! This morning we practiced the fight song and got dressed in our purple! Look at that face - he is already getting excited! Go K-State!

Speaking of football - we are trying to get the locals to appreciate the game. Hubby brought the ball up to the cricket match and they were trying to play. It was funny to watch. It is sad when I can throw better than most the guys!

Smiling

Chase is being so nice to his momma. He must know that daddy went back to work this week so he has been smiling and sleeping more. I love it! He has gone at least 5 hours every night this week and last night he went 7 1/2 hours! He has been smiling a little bit since last week but he is getting better about smiling when we initiate it. It is still hard to capture on camera but here is my attempt...

By the way does Rogaine exist for newborns? Where has all his hair gone? I hear it is normal for hair to fall out and new hair to grown in though. Oh well he just wants to be like his Grandpop and dads friend's Burn, Karma and Ryan!

Wagner & Chase

Several people have asked how Wagner is handling the new addition. The people that know Wagner know he is pretty laid back. He doesn't get stressed easily and here is an example...

Chase is still not a fan of tummy time so if you can see his face in this picture he is screaming his head off!
In this picture he turned his head but he is still screaming - right in Wagner's ear. Wagner just laid there like it didn't bother him at all! We know they will be best buds one day!

We mentioned to a few people that during the newborn hearing screening at the hospital he favored one ear. We took him back today for a follow up appointment and he can hear 100% from both ears. I guess it is pretty common to get a false positive when they are first born. Thanks to everyone who was praying.

WICKED

We have awesome friends here and we were so grateful when Julie and William offered to watch Chase for us to see a West End Show. So yesterday we headed to London to see Wicked. We had such a wonderful time. We loved the story line, the sets, costumes, singing and everything! The tickets were pricey so I thought this might be the only show that we see but I think I could get addicted! Next up - The Lion King??

Trip to the Coast

We headed out to the coast on Monday for another day trip. We thought of Grandma when we saw the lighthouse. It was pretty chilly and windy but we had a fun time anyway.

Some of the outfits we have are so funny. We love the visor that came with this one. We thought he looked like a little poker player. He enjoyed sleeping most of the day - we were trying to wake him up so we could at least say he saw the ocean!

Castle Visit

We have been enjoying this past week as a family. We ventured out last Friday to see the Framlingham Castle. Here is a view of the castle from the college across the mere.
The castle had 12 of the 13 towers still in tact. Daddy had to carry Chase around because we couldn't quite get the pram up the spiral stairs.
A family pic. They were having "Knight School" there for kids - with jousting and sword fighting practice, story time and other activities. We might have to try to make it back when Chase is a little older.

Family Pictures

We had our neighbor try and take some family pictures today. I put my favorite at the top of the blog. Chase wasn't in the best mood so we only got a couple decent shots.
I also changed the profile picture for Wagner. The new one was a picture my mom took in the fields near our house.

Chase Week 4

We are very much enjoying dad having some time off! Yesterday we had to work on getting his USA birth certificate and passport and stuff. Chase has dual citizenship until he is 18. We have heard many different rumors about that so now we know! We might try to take a few day trips during the next two weeks but we also are going to relax too! Here are a couple pictures from the week.
There is a circular path that goes between our village and 2 others nearby called the Three Churches Walk. We did a portion of it one night when the weather was nice. Here the sheep were coming up to greet us!

Our little hiker.

We tried the swing for the first time. We won't use it too much until he can control his head a little more.

We still work on tummy time even though grandmom is not here. He is still not a big fan and here is was trying to suck his thumb to soothe himself!

Wagner is getting more used to Chase being around. We keep telling Wagner they are going to be best buds one day!
