Pool Party: Sneak Peek

I have tons more pictures to post (thanks Sarah) but I am tired so I just wanted to post a few for dada. What a fun birthday!!

Good Morning Birthday Boy!!

Hard to believe our boy is 2! I had plans to make pancakes in the shape of a 2 but his tummy was a little upset last night so we went with toast.

We've been working on holding up 2 fingers but he just doesn't get it. This picture would have been cute if he was holding up 2. Oh well.

Korey is over and we are having fun playing. It is hot here so looking forward to the pool after nap!

Thanks to grandma and grandpa for calling from Kansas. Hopefully we will get to talk to dad today too!

The Good Life

We have been taking advantage of all the kids activities around here and also creating some of our own. I tease Chase that besides the obvious (dada being away) he has a pretty good life.

There is a small airpark by my parents house and planes fly over all the time. Chase always points them out and says his version of airplane. So my mom wanted to the take him to the airpark to see the planes taking off and landing. Korey also joined us.

Chase was so excited he couldn't get high enough to see them.
A pilot had his plane right outside the fence and it said Air Force on it so my mom asked if we could let the boys sit inside the plane.

Last night we took advantage of Kids eat Free at Chick Fil-A. I told you I would work on going there this week!

We then went to the library for Chase to play while mommy got some new books.

They have free G and PG movies at several of the theaters in the area so we met Maddi for our weekly playdate there. We were attempting to see Horton Hears a Who.

He ate and ate and only lasted a half hour. Oh well at least it was free!

We then headed over to the interactive fountains to let them play. Chase was a little unsure at first circling around it a couple times.

But eventually he didn't mind getting soaked!

Tomorrow is the big 2nd birthday! We have a fun day planned, Korey is coming over to play all day and then we are going to the pool after nap for a little pool party with several friends. Hopefully the thunderstorms hold off!

National Zoo

It has been hot here on the east coast! There was a little break in the weather last weekend so my family decided to go to the zoo. I don't have too many great pictures because the kids weren't in the best mood. But here a few from the day.

The elephant was probably the highlight. A lot of the animals were sleeping or hiding so it was hard to spot them and point them out to Chase. But we could definitely see the elephant.

Busy Week!

We had a lot of fun this week playing with friends and enjoying the weather! It might actually be hotter in England right now! Dada has been requesting pictures so here are some from the week...

On Tuesday we went with my two good friends and their kids to the library to play in the discovery room. We then went to Panera Bread for lunch...yum!!

On Tuesday night we went to Rockville town center for the kids night. They had a mutts gone nuts show. Chase enjoyed it but only lasted about 20 minutes.

Wednesday we met with the Bakers at the Rio. There was a kids morning while we were there with a puppet show. Again Chase didn't last that long. Off to the park for some playtime then to walk around the lake. Chase was super fussy with me (getting his 2 year molars) so grandma told me I could go off and shop. I didn't complain!!

We had a fun pool party today with Tiana and Athena.

Uncle Kevin came and ordered some pizza. Always a hit!

I also had an 8 hour shopping trip with a good friend....kidless I might add. Although I've been here 2 weeks and no Target, Chipotle or Chik Fil-A. Sad I know, I will work on that this week!
