Louisville

For the 4th of July weekend we headed to Louisville, KY to visit our good friends the Kauflins. It was a long drive but it was nice having 3 full days there. It was raining most of the time but we were still able to do a lot! We first headed to the Louisville Slugger museum.

In the kids zone hitting the ball off the tee.

With Korey checking out the Lego Stadiums.

After a tour of the factory they gave everyone bats. Someone who didn't have young kids must have thought of that!

The next day we went to the zoo. When it would sprinkle we just headed to indoor exhibits.

Jacob is making an elephant sound while I was taking the picture!

The train was closed because of the weather but we could ride the carousel.

Later that night we went out for a double date. Huge thanks to Devon's family for watching all the kids! They took us to a local place in a basement that they like. It was soo good.

32 weeks pregnant - I think.

They said the bacon brownie was  good - I was a little too scared and full to try.

We knew we had to break up the ride home since it was going to all be during the day so we stopped at Chuck E Cheese in Charleston, WV for lunch. Chase has been wanting to go and I said I would take him for his birthday so this was close enough.

It's nice that Gavin can eat regular food now. He loved the pizza.

We are in recovery mode today (the day after we got home) and catching up on sleeping and unpacking. Thank you so much Kauflins for hosting us and showing us a great time!

What fun! Mrs. Simpson and I were happy for your families having a long weekend together. Who would have thought when you and Kristine were friends at 2 years of age the friendship is still going strong. That is a blessing!

What a special time you all seemed to have! Friends are a blessing and a gift. Great pictures, but especially loved the 'live animals' one! What a hoot!
