Rest of March

Sorry its been so long since posting - here is a random picture update with iphone pictures.
I got to play on our squadron crud team for the yearly tournament. We lost in the final game and played through the loser's bracket so we played a lot of games. It was fun!
Wonder how long till someone asks if I have triplets!

Chase can seriously make anything a train. I was impressed by this.

Chase loves playing basketball!

Gavin and his buddy Axley are just too cute!

At Chase's multicultural parade at school. His class was New Zealand.

Chase with his favorite friend that's a girl (Audrey) from school.
Bowling with the Kauflins!

So glad that he is a content baby. He just sat there the entire time we bowled.

Chilling on the ride home from Marbles Kids Museum.

Chase wasn't feeling good one day and stayed home from school. I found him like this for an hour at one point during the day. He loves Wagner!

I love the nice weather but these boys get FILTHY every time they play outside.

I mean seriously they are wrestling in the dirt.

Chase wanted me to take a picture of him.

Waiting for our vehicle inspection. Yay for free popcorn!

Evan came over after school one day and I took them to the Tumble Gym. Chase was explaining to us that he sees Evan everyday. They are in school together, soccer on Saturdays and church on Sundays! Hopefully they will be in the same class next year.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

We were up in Richmond last weekend for a family gathering on my mom's side to celebrate her 88th birthday. Everyone was there but one cousin and uncle. She was taking the SAT so I guess that's a good excuse. Family came from Myrtle Beach, SC to Hershey, PA. It was fun seeing everyone.

We had to get a picture of my siblings and parents.

My cousin Molly hosted the gathering and her and husband Bryan convinced us to spend the night. We had a great time and look forward to visiting again soon.

Micah is 6 Months!

Hard to believe our littlest man is 6 months! He is weighing 17.5 lbs (43%) and is 26 1/4 inches long (39%). He seems like a big boy to me so I was kinda surprised by the numbers but I looked back and Gavin was 20 lbs at the 6 month mark.

Still has dark hair and we get asked all the time where he gets it from.

Love the train on the bottom!

Still working on sitting up.

He's had a couple rough nights in a row but is pretty smiley during the day!

Basketball

Chase's last basketball game was this past Saturday. It was a good season for being his first. He was one of the only kids on his team who hadn't scored a basket all season so the coach make sure he had plenty of opportunities and he finally scored. He was SO excited! There were only 2 teams in his division and they played each other every week and they were so much better so they never won but they still had fun.
He loved running through the tunnel and getting introduced!

Keeping these 2 entertained was always a chore :)

Towards the end of the season Chase would ask to go outside and shoot on our little basket. It made him seem like such an older kid - just shooting hoops in the driveway! He is already excited to play next winter.

Now its on to Upward Soccer. They convinced Brad to be the coach and we got all the kids from our church on the team so we are excited for a fun year.

First Food

Micah will be 6 months this week and I have been dreading starting solids. Mealtimes are crazy enough without adding this! But he did really well. Made some funny faces but kept opening his mouth for more.

It's been fun having him join us at the table!

Valentine's Day Treasure Hunt

In keeping with our tradition we did a treasure hunt for the boys on Valentines Day. We gave Chase a combination of picture clues and words to read. They were very excited.

The first prize was some nerf type guns for each boy.

Continuing on to the big gift!

A new train book :)

And a train puzzle. Can you tell what we are STILL into over here?!

And a new book from Grandma and Grandpa. We are excited to go through it as a family to learn more about Jesus.

I didn't have my act together to make our Valentine Pizza's this year. Hopefully next year!

Snow Day Update

We are on our 7th snow day this year! That's a lot for North Carolina. Thank goodness the base is on snow day #3 so I have had some help! Here's an update with our random winter happenings...

Chase is playing basketball this year...he looks so cute in his uniform. I love LOVE Upward sports! He is very non aggressive but is starting to get the hang of the sport.

Chase went to a roller skating birthday party for a classmate. Roller skates and Kindergarteners don't mix. Thank goodness they allowed scooters. Here he is with his good buddy Audrey.

Micah checking out the snow!

On our snow day last night we had some neighborhood friends over. Total there were 8 boys five and under! It's fun getting to know your neighbors during times like this. On Sunday night it was fairly warm and we knew the snow was coming. It seemed like everyone was outside. It was fun seeing all the kids playing. Gave me a taste of spring!

Brad was home early on Tuesday to take the boys outside.

I don't think I've posted about this but we had to say goodbye to good friend again a few weeks ago. We had these boys do everything together and are really going to miss them!

Hope everyone is having a good winter and staying warm in the snow!

Snow

We had 3 inches of snow last Wednesday and it shut down the town! Chase had 4 days off school. They got off Tuesday because they predicted it to start pretty early in the day. Nope. It started around 7pm that night. AH! I was hoping Friday would be a two hour delay but they just decided to scrap the whole week I guess. At least Brad had a snow day and several short days!

Playing around in the snow. It took a lot of work to get everyone ready and they all wore snow stuff that was too small but it worked.

The scene before going to bed on Tuesday night.

We had friends over on Tuesday and we actually got to play 3 rounds of cards. That's pretty impressive with 7 kids 5 and under! The 2 babies were sleeping. The 4 older ones were watching a movie and Gavin just kinda wondered around. There were lots of interruptions but it was still fun! We had other neighbors over on Thursday and played cards again after the kids went to bed!

He doesn't look happy in this picture but he did enjoy it!

We used the boogie board to sled down the front yard hill. It worked pretty well. Brad also took the two older ones to an overpass and went sledding there too.

Some indoor fun - painting. An activity I will only do if Brad is home to help!
