KSU Football

We are very much enjoying this football season. KSU is ranked undefeated and ranked #2 in the BCS. We don't schedule anything on Saturday until we know what time the game is. Last weekend we had a couple fellow K-Staters over that are stationed here as well. The week before that Brad went to the game at West Virginia.  These are all taken on the iphone so not the best quality.

Before our watch party last weekend we bought a new TV! It is so much nicer than the one we had! Unfortunately the one we had is now sitting in a corner and we have no idea what to do with it. It is HEAVY so we can't give it away and don't really know how to trash it!

Gavin is 4 months!

Gavin is 4 months! I had his appointment last week and he is perfect! He weighs 17 lbs 8 oz (85th  percentile) and is 26.5 inches (88th percentile). He is still not sleeping the best at night and keeps breaking out of his swaddle. I am on the verge of not swaddling him but not looking forward to
those first couple nights.

I tried to take a couple pictures of him yesterday but didn't get any good ones so I'm stealing the couple of me and him from our photoshoot last week. Love my littlest guy!

Busch Gardens

Last weekend we headed to Williamsburg with friends. The main reason was to take advantage of the free day at Busch Gardens. We went in October last year and it was perfect. Good weather and no lines. Well we got lucky again this year. Even with 6 boys age 4 and under we had a great day. There is a lot of stuff for their age but we also switched off so the adults could ride roller coasters. I even went on 2! There is a train that takes you to the different parts of the park and that is all the boys wanted to do!

Waiting for the train.

Had to prove Gavin was there!

On a ride with Jacob.

They liked the ladybug ride because they are in the ladybug class at preschool.

Putt Putt

How a 1 year old plays putt putt. Good thing it was free and not crowded!

Soccer

This fall Chase participated in soccer on base. For this age it is set up with 1/2 hour practice and 1/2 scrimmage. Chase does pretty well following instructions but doesn't do as well during the scrimmage. Brad and I both noticed he doesn't seem to have a competitive side. Don't know if that will develop later or not. The pictures were last week and I was too cheap to pay for it so I just took a few of my own.

Pumpkin Patch

We headed to a pumpkin patch about an hour away again this year. The squadron was going on Saturday but we had to stay behind to watch KSU vs. KU. We went up on Columbus Day hoping it wouldn't be too crowded. Well considering it was cold and rainy we didn't have to worry too much about lines! We did stop by Panera on the way home and Broccoli Cheddar soup in a bread bowl was a perfect way to warm up!

Playing in the corn

All my boys in the corn.

The train ride was extra but we knew we had to do it with Chase. He never tires of trains!

Meeting up with his buddy, Dawson.

Gavin and I were there too!

Gavin is 3+ Months

Just a few recent pictures of Gavin before he turns 4 months! He is getting good tummy time and rolls over every now and then.

Here he is watching Chugginton with big brother.

Love that smile! He's been getting up a little more at night but the smile makes the tired mornings seem so much better. He is losing his pacifier and breaking out of swaddle so I know I'm at the point of not swaddling him at night but I am not ready for those 2 long nights! I don't have his doctor appointment for another couple weeks. I am interested to see what he weighs. He is mostly in 6 month clothes so I figure he is pretty average. Which is okay with me - he is not allowed to grow up too fast!

Thomas the Train

We stumbled across a Day out with Thomas last year while we were in England. I always wanted to take Chase to ride on it so when we had extra birthday money for the boys I booked some tickets. It was in Spencer, NC which was about 3 hours away. We went up the night before and hit a children's museum also. It was a fun little family getaway.

It was a little rainy to start the day. We actually used the rain cover for the stroller that we had because we lived in England.

The Roundhouse was pretty cool. You could even get rides on the turntable.

Chase loved watching the model trains. This is where he spent most of his time.

We ran into one of Chase's buddies, Will.

Our boys riding on Thomas' coaches.

Finally a good smile.

Brad wanted us to run out and get a picture in front of Thomas but Chase wasn't interested.
