Week 31 Update

A good friend came in town last weekend and took a few belly shots for me on our walk. My better half will gladly do it but there is nothing like a girlfriend with a good camera to do it!

Of course the best part of the weekend is seeing their precious little girl! She was loving cable and she did great with Wagner (and vice versa!). Wagner quickly figured out to stay by her while she was eating and he might just get a cheerio or two!

Thank you so much for visiting us! I love how we can talk for hours and not run out of things to say. We did have to send the boys off to play golf so we could have some girl only talk!!

Other news - today is my last day of work!!! My co-workers were so sweet and took me to lunch and gave me a "sleep" set from Bath and Body Works. It comes wtih a pillow mist, lotion and a sheep. They are wishing for me sleep after the baby comes!! I am headed up to Maryland tonight for a first birthday party for Tiana, O's game, Baby shower and hopefully lots of rest!

We also officially have orders so we are busy making plans and getting ready to fly over in a few weeks!

Baby Shower

On Sunday afternoon my dear friend threw me shower for mostly friends in the class. Us girls have had a lot of fun over the past 8 months of the training. We have a bunko group, go out to eat when the guys are working late and enjoy hanging out.
Everyone who came to the shower was so generous and the food was great! Here are the typical opening presents pictures...

A homemade blanket by one of the girls!

A group shot!

With some ladies from church!

My good friend who threw the shower, thank you so much! I had so much fun and was so blessed by everyone celebrating with me during this time!

Surprise Work Baby Shower

The girls I work with suprised me with a baby shower yesterday. I had a lunch planned with one of the girls and as we walked into the restuarant they asked if we were there for the baby shower. Then I saw that the other ladies were there as well! We had a nice lunch then I opened the presents. I got my first pack of diapers, and lots of bath stuff, clothes, blankets and safety stuff. Hard to believe I only have 2 weeks of work left!

Baseball Date Night

Last night the team I interned for several years ago was playing the local team so we headed over to watch a couple innings of the game. It was still pretty chilly and you could tell it was only a week into the season. The between inning entertainment left a lot to be desired and the mascot did nothing.

We only stayed through the 5th inning because he had to get back to work. But it was still cold enough that it was plenty. The Keys were leading 7-2 when we left!
With Scout - do all minor league teams have dogs as mascots?

Weekend Updates

For Easter we met my parents at my Grandma's in Virginia Beach. The Saturday was beautiful so we took Wagner out for a quick walk on the beach. This was the day K-State was playing in the second round of the tournament hence the K-State shirts. We are definitely going to miss sports when we are overseas!

Walking along the beach with mom.

Some friends quickly found Wagner. He is such a scaredy dog!

He loves playing the water though.

A couple of family shots!

Hopefully I will start getting better about taking pictures. The weekend after Easter we had hubby's dad and brother drive out for a visit. I didn't get a single picture! We watched planes take off since he had to fly late on Friday, went to movie, bowling (well the guys anyway) and we dragged them baby furniture shopping but then had a nice dinner at Macaroni Grill! We also got fun presents and lots of baby gear. Thanks guys for making the LONG drive out - we had a lot of fun!

Week 28 Update: Where's our bed?

We finally got the nursery furniture! I just wish I could set up the nursery. Baby boy is going to have the nicest furniture in the house! We decided to keep it in the boxes because it looks better boxed than the movers just wrapping it in paper. We bought Wagner a new bed not too long ago so the question is where is ours? We always said we would buy a bedroom set for us when we moved here but now that we are moving overseas, we hear the rooms are small so we are going to hold off. So we will see if I can last on a double bed for the rest of pregnancy. Things are still going great - I have been blessed!

The baby furniture stacked in our dining room.

Wagner and his new bed.

Hopefully this weekend I can post our Easter pictures - I forgot my camera and my parents have pictures on their camera that I will get this weekend when I visit.

Baby Update: Week 26

So according to the baby ticker we in double digits - where is the time going? Here is an updated belly picture...
I know its not the best but I didn't feel like changing out of my K-State t-shirt! Go Cats by the way! I still feel great - we are just trying to get everything in order for the move. If I haven't said it before having the due date and report no later than date be 3 days apart is not ideal for an overseas move!!

Onto the question we get all the time - the name. Here is an example of why there is no name yet:

Me: How about Ryder (I like Ryan but this is a newer version)?
Him: What - are we going to name our next son U-Haul?
Me: Fine, what do you suggest?
Him: How about William Robert?
Me: That's not too bad, I like using William since its your middle name.
Him: Good I am going to call him Billy Bob.
Me: No!

Can you see the mustache??? I hear they can shave it soon!

Mustache March

Had to delete that last post, had too many "warning" comments. If anyone hasn't heard about our assignment just call or email! My better half is hesistant with a blog anyway so I have to be careful.

Anyways, we have been busy trying to get ready for the move - talking to the doctor (as of now he says he will let me fly over at 35 wks!), getting paperwork filled out, getting the car ready to sell, figuring out what to ship over early and stuff like that. It can be a little overwhelming but it will work out.

It is also that wonderful time of year when all the guys try to grow a mustache. The squadrons he has been apart of have never participated in this tradition but this year he gets to. It took a while for you to tell he had one but it is coming along. We went to the grocery store and he put on a 07 Jack Daniels hat - he was looking like a typical Nascar fan! I will try to post a picture before the month is over!

Not much going on in pregnancy news. The baby is kicking more and we are both growing. Even though I am excited for him to get here, I am enjoying my last couple months of 8 or more straight hours of sleep, a shower first thing in the morning and going out to eat at a moments notice! I hear those days are almost over!

Visitors

We love visitors! Two weekends ago my parents came down for a last minute trip. We were supposed to go up there but we weren't sure how the weather would be by the time we got up there late Friday so I convinced them to drive down since they both had the day off. My mom and I did a lot of baby stuff and organizing. Got rid of 3 bags and a box of stuff to Goodwill and bought a few baby items. Count on my mom to get me some good deals! We also enjoyed eating out since I didn't have time to plan for meals. The boys always like that!

Then last weekend, my good friend KK and her husband came down. Unfortunately hubby had to work most of the weekend but they were so flexible and understanding. It seems like everything turns into a competition! KK killed me at the driving range, we split bowling games and Devon killed us both at Yahtzee! My hubby was the overall winner in bowling both games but Devon won at golf! Unfortunately both our basketball teams lost this weekend.

We also enjoyed the beautiful weather and enjoyed hearing about each other's pregnancy. So exciting that our kids will only be a couple months apart!

On my pregnancy front, I haven't updated weekly like I thought because there hasn't been much to say. But last night the proud dad felt little boy move for the first time. He must really like Chick-fil-A because he was kicking harder than he ever had so I made hubby put his hand on my belly and he felt it! It was very exciting for us!

Check back Saturday morning for the big news we get on Friday night!!

Kansas Trip

Even though our trip was short it was so nice to see family. We played a lot of games, watched the K-state basketball game, tried to get them to watch the Daytona 500 and enjoyed just hanging out!

The kiddos grow up too fast! Addi was walking all over and Lucas has only one more year till a teenager! We got to celebrate his 12th birthday with him a little early.
Brayden is the game player. We played "Money, Money" and "Sorry" more times than you can count! Here they are playing Are you Smarter than a 5th grader? It was funny seeing the older brothers be so competitive!

Week 22 Update Baby Shower!

We had a quick trip out to Kansas for Presidents Day weekend. It was wonderful seeing family and fun to hang out even though it went too fast! On Sunday afternoon they threw us a couples shower for family and a few friends. It was such a nice time.

The cute 3-D Teddy Bear cake didn't make it home in one piece. So there was a quick trip to the store to pick up another one. It still tasted good though!

I specifically requested a few K-State things from my brother who made drive down for the shower. Thanks so much for coming! We also got several homemade blankets, outfits scrapbooking stuff and books! Everyone was so gernerous! Our attempt at non-professional family picture.

Week 21 Update By Wagner

Mom's been posting a lot lately but she is busy at work and getting ready to go to Kansas for the weekend. They still don't have anyone to watch me - I am a fun loving dog -any takers!

Anyways, I figured I would fill you in on the strange things going on here. First of all mom is getting big! It doesn't make sense either because she is still working out a lot. We go running a couple times and week and she also goes to the gym and the pool. Her stomach also smells like chocolate sometimes (cocoa butter lotion). That's why I sniff it a lot. She also has been having issues with clothes too. Sometimes in the morning she will try on several different outfits before she is happy. She will head off to work with clothes everywhere!

Mom has also been bringing home some stuff lately. She keeps on bringing these little clothes home that have all these different smells (used clothes). And last week she brought this black looking contraption home (stroller frame). I have no idea what it is used for!

They try to tell me a little boy is on the way and I think I might of got a glimpse of how that will affect me. They watched a friends kid for an hour the other night. He played this game where he threw all his food on the floor for me to eat. It was a lot of fun! But then he thought I would eat everything so he kept trying to put stuff in my mouth. I know I am a dog but I have my limits. I would not eat the phone!

But mom and dad seem excited even with all these changes - so I guess I am excited too!

Ski Trip

Dad organized a trip to the mountains for his class to go skiing. We rented 2 cabins and drove up late Friday night and drove back on Sunday. Mom didn't go skiing but hung out with another preggo girl. They had a lot of fun shopping, eating, baby talking, etc.

It is definitely not like Colorado skiing. A lot of the snow is made. Mom didn't even see snow until they drove up to the top of the mountain. But it was still beautiful!

Eating pizza after a tiring day. It was several of the guy's first time skiing!

The girls hanging out at night!
Everyone chilling in the cabin at night rehashing stories of the day. It was good for the guys to do something different then flying - they actually didn't talk much about flying!
Eating breakfast the next morning before the drive back.

Superbowl Party!

Superbowl is always a sad day because it means the end of football for a long time. Especially if we go overseas!! When the class was trying to decide who to have the superbowl party they went with the biggest TV. Well that belonged to the guy from England who knows very little about football! He invited all his British and Aussie friends and it was funny trying to hear them explain the sport to each other. He did a great job hosting the party though, he went online and bought all kinds of superbowl accessorries and had tons of food! He had posters up for both teams and everything! The dollar is weak right now so he can afford it!
His TV was definitely the biggest!
Drew impressed the crowd with his touchdown and incomplete signs. He is about to get his airplane ride he gets everytime he sees us!

Helping Drew pick a square for money. He is going to have a little brother or sister late summer that will be friends with our little one (we are hoping to get the same assignment.)

Week 19 Update: IT'S A...

BOY!!!

We had our appointment yesterday and here he is! Totally went against my gut feeling but we are so excited!! At first he was being modest and had his legs crossed but after taking a couple head measurements he wasn't so shy. They said that everything looks healthy so we are so grateful. I could see the baby move but I still haven't felt it yet. I was hoping I would feel the baby move when we were celebrating K-State's victory over KU Wednesday night, and I could say we already have a K-State fan on our hands. I guess we still have a lot of time to influence him! Between the game and this - you can't wipe the smile off my face!
