Overnight Beach Trip

I was realizing the other day that all I've been posting about was baby stuff. Well I was excited to have a post to prove that we still have a life but of course forgot my camera. We headed down to Wilmington Friday night to get away for a night. We got a hotel on the beach and enjoyed a little shopping and eating out. It was too cold and rainy to do much else. We did bundle up and manage a quick walk on the beach before it started raining. We definitely want to go back in the spring and I will try to remember my camera.

Snow - kinda

After a long day of cold rain hoping for snow on Saturday this is all we got! And from what we hear there won't be too many more chances! We spent most of the weekend inside but did venture out for dinner and got to drive around in it for a little while. We did enjoy K-State's big win over A&M though. No new baby news this week. I am just still eating and sleeping a lot. We are definitely enjoying these last few months where it is just us. We can still go to movies whenever and sleep in as late as we want! I realize it won't be like that for a long time!

Week 17 Update

I am posting these pictures against my common sense, since I do not have a cute pregnancy belly I just have a huge mid-section. What you don't see is I made my better half take about 15 pictures (and had a wardrobe change) to get a couple that don't make me look fat! I first put the same shirt that I had on last time so I could see if there was any difference.

I have to wear a little tighter shirts so you can kinda tell! I still haven't told my co-workers and now I am thinking they must think I've gained weight.
According to my appointment I've gained 5 pounds which the doctor said was a good amount. The baby's heartbeat was in the 150's bpm so the doctor said it was in the girl range if I believe that wives' tale. My gut still tells me its a girl but we will see in a couple weeks!

Week 16 Update

Since most of the pictures on the updates will be mom - I had to put dad in there. Mom dragged him to a kids exchange this past weekend where you buy and sell used baby stuff. So we bought our first purchase for the baby! Here he is trying on backpacks (don't even know what they are called!). We figure we will either be oversees sightseeing or in the mountains hiking so we went ahead and bought one. We were both a little overwhelmed at all the baby stuff!
Mom's next appointment is the 15th for bloodwork and tests and then we should find out the sex in early February. We also get our assignment at the end of February so big month coming up! Both mom and dad have had the cold lately but that hasn't stopped mom from putting on a few pounds. She feels like she has a little pooch now but couldn't track down the camera last night to take a picture - maybe for next week.

Christmas Photos 2

Happy New Year! Here are some more pictures from Christmas. After we got back from VA on Sunday we opened gifts with Tiana since she would be with her mom on Christmas. I think she liked the paper more than the gifts but she did great playing with them afterwards.

We, of course, had to get her a plane because of what her uncle does!

On Christmas morning, us adults all opened our gifts. I wasn't too impressed with the pictures I took but here is mom's big gift. She finally got her t-shirt quilt that she has been wanting for a while! No more moving t-shirts around in a plastic bag.

The fam around the breakfast table. It is fun eating a big breakfast, a big dinner and snacking in between! We had a wonderful day - after we get our next assignment we can't be sure of how often we will make it back for Christmas so we made sure to enjoy it!
